This piece is an 8"x10" handmade digital canvas with custom 3D display. Glasses, a computer, or other hardware are not required to see the artwork in 3D.
The display has a field of view of approximately 40 degrees. 3D perception is correct when the viewer is in front of the display, plus or minus ~20 degrees, at distances greater than one meter. Viewing the display from other angles does not yield physically-accurate 3D perception. See the diagram in the images for more information.
The piece is fully self-contained. No assembly is required.
